What types of food are served on the food tour?

Food is provided from bakeries, restaurants, specialty shops and more. For more information, visit the Our Tour page.

What restaurants will we visit on the food tour?

We like to keep this a surprise. However, if you check out our social media, you might find some answers!

What happens if it rains or snows?

Tours operate rain, snow or shine. We do advise that you check the weather for the day of your tour and prepare accordingly. If inclement weather is prominent, we will contact you in event of anticipated severe weather.

What if I have dietary restrictions or food allergies?

At this time, we are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions or most allergies. We can accommodate shellfish allergies. If you do have an allergy, please reach out to us and we will do our best to make sure you can still enjoy your tour.

What if I am vegetarian?

No worries! We can accommodate vegetarians! There will be an option at check out to let us know of this. If you do not do this, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate.

What if I am gluten free?

At this time, we are unable to accommodate gluten free requests. We do plan on having a gluten free friendly tour options in the future. If you email us at Galenafoodieadventures@gmail.com we may be able to accommodate.

What is your cancellation policy?

Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded. We only reschedule tours for a later date. Our tours often sell out and your space is being guaranteed on the tour. We do not offer rescheduling for partial attendance, no shows or late arrivals. Although we have a strict no- cancellation/ no- refund policy, in the case of a Pandemic or natural disaster which may prevent us from operating, we will give a credit to use on a future tour. Galena Foodie Adventures reserves the right to cancel any tour for any reason where circumstances prohibit us from providing the best experience. If this is the case, we will issue a credit for a future tour.

Does the tour end at the same place we meet?

Although our tours do not start and end in the same location, the start and ending location are two (2) minutes driving from each other.

Can I pay with cash or check?

No, we do not accept cash or checks. Tickets can only be purchased with Apple Pay, Visa, AMEX, Mastercard or Discover. Or you can call us at 563-296-3781.

Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?

Yes, tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets can sell out, so to get the day that works best for you, book well in advance.

Is there parking near the meeting point?

Yes, there is a parking lot at the meeting location that is $10 all day and ample free street parking along Galena’s main and side streets. Please plan for extra time to park.

What if I am late because Galena is Busy?

Please plan for this time, Galena can get very busy, especially during Fall. If you are running late, please text 563-278-3871 to let us know. In most cases, if your party can make it to the first stop before the group leaves your party can still join the tour. After the first stop, in most cases, your party forfeits their tour.

Is wine tasting included in the tour? If so, is there a kid friendly option?

Yes, we stop at one winery during the tour. All food and drinks are included in your ticket price. At this winery, there will be a kid friendly option for the kiddos or anyone who does not want alcohol.

How much food will be included in the tastings?

There will be enough food to be considered a lunch. Portions are smaller than what you would purchase on your own, but we stop at five(5) or more locations with ten(10) tastings.

How much walking is involved?

About one mile, with stops in between and one(1) incline.

If I am bringing an infant/ very young child, do I need to purchase a ticket for him/ her?

No, as long as your young child will not be participating in the tastings. Please let us know if you are bringing an infant/ young child in the notes section during booking.

Is the tour wheelchair and stroller accessible?

Yes, Galena is very accessible to all parties. We will assist you if you have any questions if you wish to contact us further.

However, on our Cocktail Adventure Tour, there are stairs on this tour.

Does your tour guide accept gratuity?

Yes, gratuities are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15%. Gratuity can be accepted via cash, Venmo or Cashapp.

Are bathrooms available on the tour?

Yes, bathrooms are available at select stops on the tour.

Can I shop during the tour?

There is tons of great shopping in downtown Galena, but to keep on our tight schedule, we do not allow anyone to shop during the tour.

Are tours offered in any other language, besides English?

Our tours are only offered in English at this time. If you would like to have your own interpreter join us on the tour, please contact us directly at Galenafoodieadventures@gmail.com.

Are cameras allowed on the tour?

We highly encourage guests to take photos during our tours. Please hashtag us!

Do you offer a military discount code?

Of course! The discount is 10%. Thank you for your service. There is a military option at checkout.

Is there a waiting list in the event a tour is sold out?
